Sweden beat south korea 1-0

South korea start their world cup with a loss to a spirited sweden side. The 2002 hosts had never lost any of their world cup opening games for the past 20 years a fact that changed inthe 65th minute when Min woo kim commited a foul by slide tackling his oponent inthe box swedish captain Andres granqvist calmly stroke the penalty past goalkeeper Hyun woo cho who had made some exeptional saves upto that point to keep his team in it. sweden return to the world cup after a 12 year absence and had never won their world cup opening game since the 1950s their coach andersson wasn’t born by then

So the english premier league season is over and done and most clubs are analysing how they’ve done.Their is alot of teams that have been brilliant this season one of those teams are obviously the champions man city and the likes of brighton,Huddersfield and Newcastle but the standout team this season must be Burnely.A team that almost everbody predicted to go down are now going to be playing inthe europa league their first time playing in a European competition since 1966-67 but what have burnely done to win them so many admirers. They have finished 7th with 54 points

Their manager sean dykes has attracted alot of suitors with the type of football he has got burnely playing they are not a possession based team as their are 18th for overall touches 20,552 and have completed 9,572 passes put them 18th inthat table they are a direct team who want to score goals they have had moments brilliance though with that goal aganist everton where they put together 22 passes after which jeff Hendricks finished off They like to defend with as a lowblock as they have made 1185 clearances and look to counter attack rapidly which explains why their strikers have been caught offside 100 times the second highest inthe league burnley have scored 36 goals but have conceded 39 their topscorer chris wood has scored 10 times they have won 14 games drawn 12 times and lost 12 times their goalkeeper nick pope is one of the best inthe league he has kept 11 cleansheets, has made 114 saves that is 6th highest inthe league and has made 57 high claims that makes him one of the most dominant goalkeepers inthe league. They have had five players who have made more than 30 league appearances the likes of berg, cork,Hendricks and pope have all stood out this season but the one who has caught alot of eyes is english international defender james tarkowski he is highest in clearances having made 218 has won 147 aerial duels and has made 49 interceptions but we all know that if they are to continue this success they have to make some signings but as long as they have sean dykes incharge they will be in good hands.

These are players who enjoyed a succesfull campign earning them big money moves to various club and then disappointing at their new teams

4.Davy klassen

The man nicknamed “cheese straw” has had a season to forget. He left his beloved Ajax a team for whom he had played for over 10 years having joined them in 2004 coming through the youth set up to captain the first team.He made a total of 181 appearances scoring 55 times but the attacking midfielder hasn’t been able to reach those heights at everton The team he joined for a fee that was just under $30 million he has made a total of 15 appearances this season for the mersyside oufit not netting even once and has made only 7 league appearances averaging less than 15 passes a game whilst onthe pitch. The 25 years old 3 time eredivise winner’s time at finch farm has surely come to an end with various teams intrested inthe midfielder including serie A side Napoli.

3.Renato sanches

The Portuguese youngster is the most dispossed player inthe league losing the ball 4.8 times per game This shows that the bayern munich loanie who got swansea city fans rubbing hands when his move to wales was announced back in August isn’t quite ready for life inthe preamiership or a more physical league for that matter though playing in a struggling swansea side.  The former benfica man who has won titles both in portugal and germany and thas won the european championship all these before playing 100 games and still has time to prove us all wrong with plenty of gaming time ahead of him if he gets the right move or a move to a more technical league i.e spainush league

2.Joe Hart

The Englishman has had a tough time since pep guradiola joined manchester city He was first loaned out to torino for the season 2016/17 but he failed to improve and was just horrendous that did not put off west ham united who decided to take a risk on the ailing former shrewsbury man but this did not really help as he joined a west ham team that was low on confidence and had spent alot of money on attacking players The England international conceded 17 games in his first nine league games his save percentage was 54.05% at the time having faced less shots that 10 of the leagues goalkeepers

The 23 year old Frenchman was described by the french national team head coach as a complete midfielder due to his ability to break up play as well as possesing physical power to get up an down the pitch and athleticism, abilities chelsea fans are yet to see inthe defensive midfielder who made 32 ligue 1 appearances for monaco last season scoring twice which prompted the west london side to swoop for him paying big bucks to get their man but his 28 appearances foe Chelsea this season has seen him average 37.75 passes a game and has shown a crossing accuracy of 20% numbers which can go up if he concentrated well during matches often committing fouls.
