PL PPV support for lower leagues off due to Big Picture fallout

Sky Sports are reporting that plans for financial support of L1 and L2 teams through the PL PPV have been postponed because of the fallout over project Big picture.

The Big picture project proposes that EFL will receive an immediate 250m from the Premier league and a commitment that 25% of future premier league revenues would be funneled down to EFL teams

The proposals have gained immense support throughout the lower leagues but some of it’s biggest critics include top UK government officials, the English FA who are due an immediate 100m payment from the premier league if the proposals are passed and the premier league itself who see it as a power grab by the top teams and have openly criticised the EFL chairman for supporting the project
