The FKF has always been critizied for it’s lackluster approach when it comes to finding and convincing foreign born Kenyan players to represent the Harambee stars.
Here are four English based footbllers who are eligible to represent Kenya at an international level.
1 jonah oyango
The 23 year old plays for promotion hunting Havant and waterlooville inthe English 6th tier where he is the league’s top scorer with 17 goals. Ayunga formerly of Premier league side Brighton and Hove Albion recieved his first and only Harambee stars call up in 2016. He has improved significantly inthe last couple of years and has attracted intrest from League 1 and championship clubs.
2 Tyler Onyango
Luton born Onyango joined Everton’s Academy when he was just 8 years of age,the 17 year old ball winning midfielder is half Kenyan and half British and is already an England U18 international,He has been called a machine by his coaches due to his physicality and has great off the ball movement. He admires Patrick Viera and touts Andre Gomes as his favourite player inthe current Everton first team.
3 David Sesay
Sesay had already declared for Kenya and was due to represent the Harambee stars at Afcon 2019 but couldn’t due to immigration issue, 21 year old sesay i s born to sierra leone father and a Kenyan mother,he joined Watford in 2007 and even played with Jadon Sancho,but was released in 2018 and was snatched up by Crawely town where he made on 4th september 2018 and has been improving ever since even winning crawley’s young player of the year in 2019 In a recent interview Sesay was quoted saying he is 100 percent ready to represent Kenya.
4 Clarke Oduor
Born in Siaya the 20 year old has already expressed his desire to play the Harambee stars. Oduor signed his frist proffesional contract with on 16th January 2017 for leeds United but moved to fellow championship side Barnsley where he made his debut 7th december 2018,he is a versitille player who is natuarlly an central midfielder and also can play as a winger but alot of his appearances in a Barnsley shirt came from the left back position. Oduor is developing nicely inthe english second tier and will no doubt recieve a call up in the coming years and be a staple inthe futere of the Harambee stars team.
