World cup 2018:France beat Uruguay 2-0 to advance to the semi-finals.

Uruguay were looking to win an eightth game in a row as France were looking to get to the world cup semi-finals spearheaded by Kylian Mbappe born after France’s triumph on home soil in 1998.Varane have the French the lead with a brillant header after a Griezmann freekick five minutes before half time they doubled their lead inthe fiftyfirst minute after a mistake by Uruguay goalkeeper Fernando Muslera who put the ball into his own net after a Griezmann shot.So inthe end heartbreak for Oscar Tabarez’s men as they say bye to Russia.France take on the winner of the Brazil and Belgium game.
