World cup 2018 Sweden into the last eight as they scrap through Switzerland.

Sweden were looking to win a world cup knockout stage game for the first time in twenty four years.It was a poor first half that saw both sides make mistakes especially the Swiss who at times gave the ball away in dangerous areas but Sweden couldn’t capitilize.Sweden took the lead inthe sixtysixth minute after RB leipzing midfielder Emil Forsberg’s goal bound shot deflected off Borrusia Dortmund defender Manuel Akanji’s boot deceiving the goalkeeper Jan Sommer.Sommer who upto that point had made some excellent saves to keep his team inthe game.Michael Lang was sent off after he carelessly slide into the feet of Olssen denying him a clear goal scoring opportunity.
