An engaging night in Rostov saw belgium come from 2-0 down to beat Japan 3-2. Belgium did slighty dominate the first half but Japan also caused them problems onthe couter attack. But it was inthe second half that things really lit up.Japan took the lead inthe fourty eighth minute through Genki Haraguchi ,the Hannover foward recieved a defence splitting pass from Shibaski and fired the ball past a helpless Courtois.Four minutes later Japan doubled their lead after a brilliant shot that curled past the goalkepeer from new Real Betis midfielder Takashi Inui.Belgium responded brilliantly with a Vertonghen header inthe sixty nineth minute and they leveled it up through Fellaini, who jumped highest to meet a Eden Hazard cross and planted his header right inthe middle of the goal past the thirty five year old Japanese goalkeeper Eiji Kawashima.Kawashima was again inthe spotlight as he made two brilliant saves first from Nacer Chadli and then showed incredible reflexes to deny Romelu Lukaku.Courtois was also called into action inthe latter stages of match.Belgium scored the winner after a quick counter attack from a Japan cornerkick through Nacer Chadli becoming the first team to win a world cup match after being 2-0 down since west germany beat England inthe 1970 world cup.
